Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair. During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth. On average, 8-10 sessions are required for effective hair reduction. After completion of all sessions, yearly maintenance is required. Depending on which area is being treated, treatments are performed every 4-8 weeks. Treatment areas include the face (upper lip, chin, sideburns, jawline), under the chin, beard region, underarms, chest, shoulders, arms, back, hands, abdomen, pubic area (bikini, Brazilian) and legs. We use an 810 diode laser which can safely remove hair on skin types I-IV.
